Report a Power Outage


Carroll EMC is committed to providing reliable electric service to all Member-owners. Sometimes, however, power outages do occur.

If your power goes out

Before calling Carroll EMC, check to see if other neighbors are affected. If only your residence is without power, check fuses or breakers to see if the problem is limited to the home electric system. Reset any that have tripped off.

Report an outage

You will need your account number as it appears on your bill OR the 10-digit phone number associated with your account. If you have multiple accounts, you must provide the account number for the location of the power outage. Be prepared to describe the cause of the outage (downed tree on line, etc.), if you know it.

CALL Carroll EMC’s Emergency and Customer Service Line 770-832-3552 and choose option 1 or 1-877-9-OUTAGE. During widespread outages, an automated answering system is activated. Please do not dial 911 for outage information or to report power outages.

DANGER! Report Downed Lines Immediately

DO NOT approach, touch or attempt to move downed power lines or items that have fallen on them. These are extremely dangerous situations. Report all downed lines immediately by calling Carroll EMC’s Emergency and Customer Service Line or 911.
